- Hard-Won Wisdom
- Consequence
- Mentorship
- Growth
A phrase this catalog has already put on trial elsewhere: life doesn't come with instructions, but it is the class that keeps teaching. The title is deliberately plain, almost proverbial, and that plainness is the point — the lessons that actually change a man arrive without ceremony and usually after the damage. Street Gospel never treats wisdom as a reward. It treats it as an invoice you can read only in hindsight.
What came after is a man carrying knowledge he cannot return and would not have chosen, passing it down anyway, because the alternative is watching somebody else pay the same tuition for the same information.
The story behind it
"Life Lessons" is the instructional record - passing wisdom down. It is described as instructional, hypnotic and spiralling trap soul in E minor (Em9 - Cmaj7 - Em9) at roughly 82 BPM, built on an Em9 loop with a repetitive "life lessons" refrain, and it is the longest stretch in the source manuscript. In the album sequence it sits late in Act IV as the wisdom transfer just before the closing declaration act.
It was one of the songs the artist named early as having clear title, lyrics, chords, keys and production notes rather than being a sketch.
