This is the record where the defenses are fully up and the temperature drops. A rival is testing a boundary and the response is immediate, aimed, unbothered — he is most comfortable when things turn dangerous, which he has said elsewhere but never this coldly. Then, in the middle of the threat, a line slides in sideways and reframes the whole thing: they don't judge him for who he is, they judge him for who he was.

The mechanic is a man who cannot retire the old self because the neighborhood will not let him. He grew up selling drugs, has been to jail more times than he cares to count, and says outright he is not trying to be a thug — but the posture keeps getting demanded of him, so he keeps supplying it. Verse two turns the aggression into economics: real bosses cut deals, his name is ink and yours looks like pencil, and the men copying him never realized he sent them where they arrived.

The water imagery is the best writing here — skimming the surface has its uses, and a storm carved a canyon by trickling. What it cost is the ability to be seen as present-tense. What came after is a man changing trucks every year and leaving the ending unresolved.

"Drive On My Bitch" is documented as the menacing, possessive street record - standalone energy rather than part of the album's arc, with an aggressive delivery over a standard trap kit in E minor at roughly 82 BPM. Earlier tracklist work used it as a momentum-and-motion cut. It was deliberately held out of the main sequence because its energy clashes with the album arc, and it was flagged as needing a retitle for streaming services regardless of where it lands.
